SPICED & SWEET LASSI

Lassi is a refreshing non-alcoholic Indian drink, ideal to serve with any Indian dinner menu.

Ingredients

Low-fat yoghurt

Water

A few toasted cumin seeds

A little chopped fresh coriander

 

For a sweet Lassi

Sugar, to taste

Few drops of rosewater, to taste

Method

  1. For spiced Lassi, whisk equal amounts of low-fat yoghurt with water using a balloon whisk to create a frothy foam, then serve sprinkled with a few toasted cumin seeds and a little chopped fresh coriander. For a sweet version, whisk the yoghurt and water with a little sugar to taste and a few drops of rose water.
